This volunteer opportunity is for a beer tent at the Windy City Hot Dog Fest, so all volunteers must be 21 or older!
Be prepared to pour beer, handle money, and talk about CCR! All tips from cash and card sales will go back to the dogs!
Volunteer Guidelines & Expectations
- Arrival Time is 30 Minutes Before Shift Start
- Volunteers are expected to arrive 30 minutes early to allow time for check-in, tent/station setup, and quick instructions of duties/rundown . This ensures a stress-free shift start and professional presentation once gates open.
- Each Beer Tent Requires 8–10 Volunteers Per Shift Each tent operates efficiently with 8–10 people covering: - Valid state issued ID checks
- Cash handling
- Pouring/serving drinks
- Tent cleanliness
- Crowd engagement
Shift Overlap = 15 Minutes Outgoing and incoming teams will overlap briefly to ensure smooth transitions. This allows for quick updates, handoffs, and ZERO service interruptions.
Important Reminders
- Check-in is mandatory 30 minutes prior to your shift
- Wear comfortable shoes — You’ll likely be standing and moving for long periods. Leave the heels at home, boo! - Dress in weather-appropriate clothing — Rain or shine, the fest goes on. Check the forecast and come layered, shaded, or poncho-ready. Bring a refillable water bottle!!
